How it works:
Matterport is committed to supporting the causes employees care about the most. Here are some of the ways we help our employees participate.
Matching Program
Through Matterport Cares, we offer matching company contributions up to $400 for qualified employee donations to a qualifying charity of their choice, and $10 for every employee volunteer hour (up to $400) for every employee that volunteers with a qualifying 501(c)(3) nonprofit.
Team Toolkit
To facilitate community service projects for Matterpeeps, we developed the Matterport Cares team toolkit. This resource offers guidance on planning service projects and donation processes for team events, meetings, and community outreach.
How Matterpeeps participate.
- A monetary donation for as little as $10 to any qualifying nonprofit will receive a matching gift from the company.
- Service activities, such as nonprofit boards or committees, PTAs, projects year round
- Matterport Cares Week (see the description below)
- Capture for a Cause (see the description below)
The Matterport Cares Award.
In December 2024 we plan to present The Matterport Cares Award which will be presented annually to a qualifying Matterpeep who has volunteered the most hours within a calendar year. Recognition includes bragging rights, a plaque, and a donation to the winner’s favorite charity.

Capture for a Cause
In 2024 we introduced Capture for a Cause as part of Matterport Cares.
Capture for a Cause offers our employees the chance to volunteer at their favorite charity and perform a scan of their space. In addition to providing the charity with one complimentary scan, there's also a volunteer match for the time dedicated to scanning.
